Albufeira Carpe Nox, Street Food Without Borders, and Paderne Medieval liven up New Year’s Eve in Albufeira
Praia dos Pescadores, in Albufeira, will be the main stage for the New Year’s Eve celebrations with the Albufeira Carpe Nox 2026 event, which is expected to bring together thousands of people to welcome the new year. The festivities begin at 10:00 pm with an aerial performance by the Flying Dragons, followed by a concert by Silence 4, who are celebrating 30 years of their career.
The countdown to midnight will take place on the new Stage X, featuring an innovative show by DJ NOX, combining music, aircraft, lasers, pyrotechnics and special effects. In 2026, the celebration continues with DJ Wilson Honrado. On January 1st, at 5:00 pm, the New Year’s Concert will take place on the same stage, featuring Os Quatro e Meia, preceded by an aerial choreography performed by two aircraft.
The end-of-year programme also includes Street Food Sem Fronteiras, running from December 31, 2025 to January 3, 2026, at Largo Eng.º Duarte Pacheco, from 12:00 pm onwards, with free admission and live music every day. In addition to a wide range of international food options, the event features live performances by Rub a Dub (Dec 31), Luís do Vale (Jan 1), Cherry Party and Pagode do Algarve (Jan 2), and Pau de Arara and David Dixon (Jan 3).
Also part of the programme is Paderne Medieval, which enlivens the first days of 2026 with a journey back to the 14th century. The event recreates a medieval atmosphere in the streets of the village, with a traditional market, crafts and trades, banquets, dances, shows and historical reenactments. One of the highlights is the historical parade evoking the ceremony of the Donation Charter of Paderne Castle by King Dinis to the Order of Avis. The event takes place from January 1 to 4, between 12:00 pm and 11:00 pm (until 9:00 pm on the last day).
All events have free admission.
