Albufeira Carpe Nox welcomed 2026
Albufeira Carpe Nox 2026, held at Praia dos Pescadores, established itself as one of the largest New Year’s Eve events in the country, bringing together thousands of people to bid farewell to 2025 and welcome 2026 in a unique setting that brought together land, sea and sky.
Organised by the Municipality of Albufeira, in partnership with APAL, the event stood out for its scale, innovation and artistic quality, reinforcing Albufeira’s position as a benchmark destination for major national events.
The programme featured an immersive, high-impact visual spectacle, with performances by Silence 4 and the Flying Dragons, music synchronised with airplanes and paramotors, lasers, multimedia, lighting, special effects and the debut of the new X Stage. Giant balls released over the crowd and the impressive natural setting of Praia dos Pescadores contributed to a truly memorable experience.
The arrival of the New Year was marked by an engaging countdown, followed by a festive night that continued into the early hours. Celebrations carried on on 1 January, with the New Year’s Concert by Quatro e Meia, preceded by an aerial choreography featuring airplanes, coloured smoke, music and lighting, once again at the same venue.
The organisation ensured high safety standards, with the definition and clear signage of four viewing areas, carefully managed traffic restrictions and effective coordination among all involved entities, allowing the event to take place without any major incidents.
The programme also included Street Food Sem Fronteiras, in the city centre, from 31 December to 3 January, enhancing the gastronomic offer and the urban atmosphere during the festive period.
With extensive national media coverage and a strong tourism impact, Albufeira Carpe Nox 2026 once again asserted itself as a flagship event for the municipality, projecting Albufeira at a national level and contributing significantly to the region’s economic and social dynamism.
