Moinho do Leitão

Moinho do Leitão is one of the oldest windmills in the parish of Paderne and stands as an important example of the rural and ethnographic heritage of the inland municipality of Albufeira.

Located on Cerro do Leitão, this traditional Algarve windmill built of stone, sand, and lime has been restored and reconstructed to working condition, allowing visitors to understand the traditional grain milling process.

Beyond its heritage value, its privileged location offers broad views over the characteristic Barrocal Algarvio landscape, with the sea to the south and the Algarve hills to the north.
